About This Event

Marion County Public Schools presents the county's official Veterans Day Program on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the Ocala-Marion County Veterans Memorial Park in Ocala, which the district lists at 2601 SE Fort King St. It is the 20th consecutive year the district has presented the ceremony, and hundreds of students from 19 public schools lead, take part in and attend it. Superintendent Dr. Danielle Brewer opens the program, students perform music and read essays, East Marion Elementary's William Ruge, a military veteran, speaks, and the Ocala Police Department Honor Guard gives a 21-gun salute. Gold Star families present a wreath, a vintage airplane flies over, and Marion County Fire Rescue and Ocala Fire Rescue display a giant American flag between ladder trucks. The public is invited; the district asks attendees to arrive early for parking and bring lawn chairs because bleacher seating is limited.
